Hi there! My name is Katie. I’m a photographer shaped by movement across landscapes and cultures. My work is rooted in a deep love for travel and the mountains. Places that have taught me how to slow down, pay attention, and see people and environments with honesty.

I came to Crested Butte while attending Western Colorado University, where I discovered my love for mountain sports photography and for this valley itself. After I graduated, what began as time spent learning, exploring, and documenting life outdoors grew into something deeper, and I chose to make Crested Butte my home. Constantly inspired by changing light and the stories that unfold outdoors, the mountains here are more than a backdrop; they’re a teacher, a grounding force, and a central influence on how I photograph.

I work across commercial photography, portraits, landscapes, and travel storytelling, blending a documentary eye with an artistic, emotional approach. Whether I’m creating images for brands, capturing human connection, or documenting life abroad, my goal is always the same: to create photographs that feel real, grounded, and full of soul.

At the heart of it all, I believe photography is about connection. Connection to place, to people, and to ourselves.
